Have you always wanted to show off your wealth to the Sims neighborhood by owning more than one house?
This guide will show you how you can achieve something similar.
Unfortunately, one of the most requested features that players want is the ability to own multiple house because you are not able to own more than one house in Sims 4.
This is much different from older titles, such as Sims 3 where you were able to have more than one house.
Judging by how long fans have been requesting this feature to be implemented, I doubt that we will ever get it.
There are, however, 2 ways that you can go about getting as close to this feature as you possibly can.
Non-Modded Method
(The “Get to Work” DLC is needed for this method).
Go to an empty retail lot and buy it.
Build a store, but decorate it as if it was another house. You will need to place down a cash register that you will never use.
As for the other requirements, use small items and hide them from eyesight as well as you possibly can.
You can do this by putting them behind other objects. Once you are done, make sure that you never open the store.
There we go, that’s how you make a second house in the ‘clean’ version of the game!
Modded Method
Download a mod that is called “Littlemssam’s More Buyable Venues mod” and install it.
Once it is installed, launch your game and create your Sim and choose a household to start in.
When you are in your household, you can go to your computer and should be accessible via the “Buyable Venues” under the Household Menu.
You will be able to use this venue as any other house as well as transfer money from your main house to the venue and vice versa, build on the lot and earn money from it if you choose to rent it out.
Just set it as a holiday house if you want it to be a second home for your Sims family.
The different amount that you can earn depending on what you choose to use the lot for:
- None (This will be areas such as playgrounds or parks)
- Low – $750 – $1000
- Medium – $1000 – $1250
- High – $1250 – $1500
If you want to go down this route, the places that I recommend building are museums, library, arts center, pools, medical clinic and daycare service.
To be able to install this mod, you just need to download it, then put the mod and the venue list into the mods folder.
It is unfortunate that we as players have to make mods just to have this much wanted feature, but at least the community is strong enough to be able to pull these things off in the end.
