Become Bob and solve perplexing puzzles using your bare hands and random stuff around you.

This puzzle-platform game is a delight to play by yourself and definitely a blast to enjoy with friends. But one big question arises, can it cross-play?

If you want to know whether Human Fall Flat is cross-platform or not, then you have clicked on the right site.

This article will help you find out if Human Fall Flat lets you play with players who have a different system.

Here you’ll also find out where the game is headed in the near future along with the answer to some frequently asked questions.

Does Human: Fall Flat Support Cross-Platform?

As of now, Human: Fall Flat is not a cross-platform game. It doesn’t support cross-play which means that players with different systems and consoles cannot play together.

With limited interactions, their only choice if they wish to play together is by changing their system which isn’t a very practical move.

Why isn’t Human: Fall Flat Cross-Platform?

The game was released in 2016 and since then the developers have reached out to Sony about making a deal with cross-platform capabilities.

Sadly, they couldn’t reach an agreement. Even though multiplayer and cross-play is now a huge part of gaming, there are certain requirements that the game has failed to meet.

  • There has to be enough online players. Human: Flat Fall is having trouble in reaching this requirement because there are no current plans in updating the game leading to a small player base.
  • The game needs to have dedicated servers. This means that the developers should have server space and it should be accessible to any player from any platform at any time. This is a prerequisite for cross-play.
  • A matchmaking system that is based on the platform. Having a platform-based matchmaking system means that you can play with players from other platforms. As long as the matchmaking service is available on your platform, you can cross-play at any time.

Will Human: Fall Flat be Cross-Platform in the Future?

Cross-play has been one of the most sought after features in recent games and Human: Fall Flat is no exception.

Unfortunately, the game won’t be becoming cross-platform anytime soon. The CEO of No Brakes Games and creator of Human Fall Flat, Tomas Sakalauskas, explained that implementing cross-play on the game won’t be easy.

“There are no specific plans for that. Because of the way that the session is set up, it’s using peer to peer. So it would be extremely difficult to ensure that across different platforms.”

According to Tomas, the main problem that’s hindering the implementation of cross-play is peer to peer networking.

Why You Shouldn’t Worry

It’s true that Human: Fall Flat doesn’t allow you to play with friends who are on a different system, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it with them using other means.

Besides the fact that the game has an awesome single player mode, it also offers multiplayer and online mode.

Human: Fall Flat has an Online mode which allows up to 8 players.

The more Bobs the more fun mayhem you’ll get! The lobby allows voice chat and different game modes so you can interact with other players.

What Systems Can You Play Human: Fall Flat in?

Human: Fall Flat is quite popular with millions and millions of players all around the world, all from different gaming systems.

The game can be played in the following systems, consoles, and devices:

  • Windows.
  • Linux.
  • macOS
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation5
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox X/S
  • Stadia
  • Nintendo Switch
  • Android
  • iOS

It would be awesome if we could play together on all of these devices, but sadly there is no cross-platform support.

Conclusion

Even though Human: Fall Flat not having cross-platform support is disappointing news, there is nothing we can do as of the moment but hope that things will be easier in the future and the developers would be able to add this long-awaited feature.

Instead of thinking about things we can’t control, why not use that extra brain power in solving and enjoying the puzzles in the game?

After all, you’ll need all the wisdom you have to get through the every thrilling level.
