In GTA Online, the measure of experience is ranking. Both jobs and achievement in Free Play activities increase your ranking.
A player’s ranking is increased after each job, and the payout depends on the level of success.
In GTA online, the highest rank level is 8000. However, you manage to unlock everything at rank 135.
Players tend to keep ranking up mainly to keep getting better and earn more money.
About GTA Online
GTA Online (short for Grand Theft Auto Online) is an online multiplayer action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and released by Rockstar Games.
It was published on October 1 2013 as part of Grand Theft Auto V. So in order to play online, you must have the base game.
The game takes place in Southern San Andreas, California, exactly on the Colombian Caribbean island of Cayo Perico. The story of the game was originally set before the events of Grand Theft Auto V in 2013.
Beginning with 2017’s Gunrunning update, the storyline of more recent updates takes place in the years in which they were released.
On the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, sessions were initially restricted to 16 players. On PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, sessions were expanded to 30 players (plus two spectator spots).
Players can participate in a variety of online sessions, including:
- Free Mode is totally PvE in solo sessions.
- Players can choose who they play within the Invite Only and Crew Only modes.
- Random players will coexist in an open Free Mode lobby during public sessions, and PvP is more common. This is the session type that is used by default.
About Ranks
A character’s rank, a number that represents a character’s total skill and experience, is increased by earning a sufficient number of reputation points (RP).
Gaining enough RP to achieve the next level is referred to as leveling up or ranking up.
As players progress through the ranks, they will be able to access additional customization options at the various online businesses.
New weaponry will also be available, allowing you to properly prepare for more difficult missions.
There are ten rankings divided into Tiers:
- Thug
- Hustler
- Soldier
- Trigger
- Enforcer
- Facilitator
- Public Enemy
- Shot Caller
- Street Boss
- Kingpin
If the player is a member of Rockstar’s Social Club and participates in a special event or redeems a special offer, they will get additional benefits such as free weapons and double RP.
Players who attain Rank 100 and above are eligible for further rewards.
